Finding a job

Finding a steady job is one of the main factors that help people to stay crime-free. Outcare’s workforce development services offer practical support to ex-offenders. While in prison, people can choose to complete a one-day career development course which covers aspects such as employability skills, interview techniques, self-image, coping with unemployment, disclosing convictions and how to access employment services within the community.

Once released, Outcare continues to assist by providing information and resources that support job seeking activities. Mike’s story shows how our workforce development services can help.

You can download our Finding Work brochure for more information.

Preparing employers

Outcare works closely with employers to educate them in the benefits of employing ex-offenders, reduce the prejudices and debunk the myths.
