What is Time to Work?
This program provides in-prison employment support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The service is designed to assist participants to prepare for employment upon their release. Support includes an employment assessment to identify skills, aspirations and barriers to employment, a Transition Plan for job seeking post-release, links to the employment provider who will support participants to find work, and referrals to any other post-release support.
Who can be involved with Time to Work?
To be eligible for the program, you must be:
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- at least 18 years old
- sentenced and within three months of your release from prison
